of former coaches and players and operates as a non-profit

- and are primarily a composition of former Division 1 and
D2 college football players.

TEAM CHARTER
The Detroit Seminoles are a minor-professional football organization
(semi-professional) that plays AAA elite level football in
the Mid-Continental Football League. The team is dedicated
to promote minor-professional athletics with a strong commitment
to excellence in β sportsmanship, entertainment, and community
service.
SEMINOLE
BEGINNING
On September 15th, 1994, the Detroit Seminoles
Football Team was born into existence with the signing of
a contract in Detroit Michigan. Team Seminole, was the genesis
and brainchild of a group of former collegiate and free agent
football players/investors, looking to design and create a
an elite football resource platform for un-drafted free agent
players and eligible collegiate to: train, compete, and acquire
additional football experience β with the opportunity of
playing professional football (NFL, CFL, NFL-Europe, Arena)
- returning to school for college eligibility - or just playing
high-level football for the love of the game.
Sylvester
Jennings, Winfred Caddell, and Robert Hunt and a
group of former college football players later to be known
as the teams owners and administrative board created the Detroit
Seminoles Football Team a minor professional sports franchise.
The primary objective of the Seminoles board was to construct
a scaled model of a NFL professional football team franchise
complete with front office administration, coaches, players,
staff and a yearly operating budget and create a minor-pro
level of football at a fraction of the cost of professional
leagues and minor-sports franchises.
COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE
The Detroit Seminoles are one of the Most Successful Teams
in AAA Minor-Professional Football History.
Question: "What professional or minor-league team in
Detroit sports history is the most recognized and successful
team in their particular sport? Lions? No, Pistons? Warmer,
Red Wings? Not Quite. You give up? How about the Detroit
Seminoles. In fact, itβs not even close. The Seminoles,
have won 8 league titles in 12 years (the equivalent of winning
8 Super Bowls or 8 Stanley Cups). The Seminoles have played
in 5 National Championship games (winning in 2002 & 2003,
2005). Detroit has won 8-9 league titles from 1997-2005 β
claiming the national championship out of 350 teams ranked
nationally.
The Seminoles defeated the Carolina Eagles in 2002, Minnesota
Maulers in 2003, and Minnesota again to capture Back-to-Back
AAA Minor-League Football National Championship and the 2005
USA National Championship from the Minnesota Thunderbirds.
All 3 games were played in Miami, Fl the week of the NCAA
Football National Championship. The Noles overall record is
151 wins and 26 losses and one tie which ranks amongst the
top winning percentage in semi-pro football. Detroit has been
nationally ranked in the top 1-5 the last 8 seasons (out 350
teams).
The following is the Detroit Seminoles record over
the last 9 seasons:

MEET THE SEMINOLE PLAYERS
Players: The Seminoles have been very fortunate to have some
of the top former players in Michigan collegiate and Detroit
High-School history play for them over the last decade. Players
like former NFL player Marlion Jackson (Denver Broncos/New
York Jets/Frankfurt Galaxy) - started his career with Detroit
Seminoles as a budding tailback and was able to use the Seminoles
as a launching platform to a solid NFL/NFL Europe football
career.

ROSTER PLAYERS
Primarily the majority of the players that comprise the Detroit
Seminoles roster are former college players with D1/D2/D3
- experience looking to further football career. The Seminoles
roster demographics generally consist of a strong composition
of former MAC (Mid American Conference Players (30% - average
of roster players) - followed by D2 players (i.e.- Grand Valley
State University). The Seminoles traditionally have their
share of BIG TEN players and it makes for some strong practices
as D2/D3 players get a second chance to see how they stake
up against the best of collegiate football.
In
addition to major pro (NFL/CFL) options, 25-30% of Seminole
players enjoy the option of being heavely recruited to professional
Indoor Football (AFL1/AFL2/IFL) teams for Spring/Summer play.
Over the last 5 seasons the Noles have loaded Indoor Pro Football
rosters as bluechip starters and reserves.
