Seminoles lose thriller to Chiefs 22-20
Seminoles Shutdown Chargers 15-2
Seminoles Avenge last year's loss, beat Patriots in Thriller 17-13. After coming back from a 10 point 4th Qtr. Deficit, Defense slams door on Patriots Offense inside Seminoles Red Zone.
Seminoles lose to bitter rival, the Ravens 19-0. The Ravens led 12-0 at the half and scored a late TD to close out the scoring.
Seminoles get back on track with another Dominating Defensive Performance. Clarence Reed and Derrick Newsom scored on a fumble return and an interception on Defense, while Charles Barber and Lonnie Hurst caught TD passes from QB Sean Foster. RB Isaiah Johnson scored his first TD of the season to lead the Noles to a convincing 34-6 win.
Seminoles snuff out Fury 36-0, led by the Seminoles Defense which posted its Second Shutout of the Season. The Seminoles got off to a fast start when Darrell Burrell returned the opening Kickoff 85 yards for a Touchdown. The Defense forced 6 turnovers in the win.
The Seminoles renewed their rivalry with the T'wolves in a big way when Terrence Barksdale returned an interception for a walk off Touchdown in overtime. Great Defense and Special Teams coupled with a Sean Foster to Lonnie Hurst Touchdown Pass, helped the Noles raise their record to 5-2. The final score was 12-6.
For the second time this season, the Seminole Offense was shutout. The Force made just enough plays which included a kickoff return to open the second half to walk away with a 21-0 win. The Seminole Defense was stout as usual but could not overcome a 5 turnover Game by the Offense. The Seminoles record is now 5-3.
In a battle pitting Seminoles against Seminoles, it was the Grand Rapids Seminoles who drove for a late T.D. to win a tough contest. With Detroit leading 6-3 late in the game off an Isaiah Johnson T.D., Grand Rapids went the length of the field to take the lead with under two minutes remaining. Detroit drove to the twenty but could not score. Grand Rapids hung on to win 10-6.
Due to the Waterford War Dawgz folding, the Seminoles receive a 2-0 forfeit win.
For 2 1/2 quarters the game was a heavyweight fight with both teams exchanging body blows. After an interception in the Ravens end zone, the body blows caught up with the Seminoles. The Ravens took all the momentum from that one play and finished strong, handing the Seminoles a third straight loss 20-0.
Breaking News!!!! The Seminoles led by the explosive running of Darrell Burrell, who had runs of 90 and 65 yards to lead a ground attack that scored 5 Touchdowns, clinched a First Round Home Playoff Game next week. Isaiah Johnson, Sean Foster and Alonte McCracken also chipped in on the 32 point scoring night. Flint would not quit, scoring 28 points against one of the best Defenses in the country. The Seminoles will host the Capital City Stealth in a First round Playoff Next Saturday at a location to be determined. We will post the info as soon as its confirmed.
Detroit Seminoles advanced to the second round of the G.L.F.L. Playoffs by Defeating the Capital City Stealth 31-12.
Kicker Josh McIntosh opened the scoring with a 35 yard field goal to give the Noles a 3-0 lead in the 1st qtr.
RB Isaiah Johnson, scored a 2nd qtr TD to make the score 10-0.
After the Defense forced turnovers on the next two posessions, QB Sean Foster threw TD's to WR's Lonnie Hurst and Damon Shackleford to take a commanding 24-0 halftime lead.
Foster and Shackleford hooked up on another TD in the 3rd quarter to stake the Noles to a 31-0 lead that the Defense would make sure held up as Darrell Burrell and Robert Cohen had interceptions.
The Defense led by DE Terrence Barksdale, sacked, harrassed and intercepted the Stealh QB all night. Barksdale had 4 sacks.
The Defense forced and recovered 4 fumbles and had two interceptions.
The Seminoles will play in the Semi-Final Round Saturday, September 9th vs. bitter rival Detroit Ravens.
In the third and most important meeting of the season. The Detroit Ravens outlasted the Seminoles 34-20. Several big plays including a punt return for a touchdown helped the Ravens advance to the Great Lakes Football League Championship to be played Saturday September 16, 2017.
